US Senate passes bill to impose tariffs on 5 countries including India, sanctions on Russia

The US Senate has approved a bill calling for action against Russia and its major energy buyers. It provides for the imposition of tariffs on countries buying oil and gas from Russia. The bill will now go to the House of Representatives.
